Coaching is appropriate if you are generally doing well but seek support with work-life balance, motivation, decision-making, transitions, or self-awareness.
What coaching entails: a goal-oriented method that supports your progress and keeps your attention on the future.
What coaching is not: Please keep in mind that coaches are not licensed clinicians or mental health experts, so they don’t diagnose or treat conditions such as anxiety or depression. Their support is focused on helping you achieve your goals and personal growth.
When should you seek counselling rather than a coach? If you’re feeling overwhelmed, dealing with mental health issues that affect your daily life, or looking to work through past experiences, reaching out to a licensed health professional for counselling could be a helpful step. They’re there to support you with understanding and care.
Privacy & confidentiality: Coaching sessions are confidential, meaning what you share with your coach will stay private unless there are specific situations, such as the risk of harm to yourself or others.
Coaching does not guarantee confidentiality. Wellbeing Coaches are encouraged to report any concerns they may have about incidents of sexual harassment, sexual assault, violence (including domestic violence), stalking, or any act that may be illegal. This helps create a safer and more supportive environment for everyone.
